Naming the movie in which the ‘Love-Hate’ hands was originally from will get you 3 movie movie points points. NO GOOGLING!
What I really like about this graph is how it looks like the Books graph flipped. You can really tell in ’01 the shift from horror movie remakes to young adult book series. It was really sad making this and seeing the dates between original and remake get closer and closer together.
Let’s take a look at the number of films based on books.
It’s actually a lot less the past 3 years than I would have expected. The reason for this is mostly if you make a movie based on a book since ‘Potter’, it better be more than one.The spikes around the early 2000s are when company’s were looking for their ‘Potter.’Not many one off (non-Sparks) novels are turned into films anymore.
So we have always complained about how everything is a sequel. But is this trend really that new?
