Fake Movie Friday: The Legacy of Taft

Ladies and Gentlemen: Welcome to my 25th Fake Movie Friday! In celebration I have decided to write the third and final installment of the Taft Trilogy. I’ve really enjoyed writing these and I hope you’ve enjoyed the journey. If you are a jerk and haven’t read William Taft: Demon Slayer or Children of Taft get on it!

Fake Movie Friday: Presence

Alright this week is crazy with work so let’s just see what comes off the top of my head for the most part. I’m listening to the song ‘Presence’ by The Men on repeat. All characters and events appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, or any actual events is purely coincidental.

Fake Movie Friday: Hungry Hungry Hippos

So based on the success of Battleship, Hasbro has been actively trying to get more of their properties onto the big screen. One of them being is Hungry Hungry Hippos, which is currently described as being actively in the works. So let’s shit this out before them. This will of course be an animated feature.

Hungry Hungry Hippos

We open on a family of Hippos (off to a great start!).

Fake Movie Friday: Pink Feather Boa

I couldn’t think of a title, so I asked our friend Lisa for a title suggestion. She started naming stuff that was on her desk and this stood out, because it made me think of snakes. So it looks like we’re headed deep into the rainforest of Suriname! Here we go!

Fake Movie Friday: The Valley

Movies love it when two people fall in love just because they are different and thrust together. You guys know how love works! Even if it’s two dancers, one street and one classical, if you put them together long enough they will inevitably fall in love. Let’s go further with this. Also let’s copy Katniss because that’s highly profitable.

Fake Movie Friday: There’s No Turning Black

Zach gave me this title last night. Russ told me I had to do it and make it really racist. I think I can make this really stupid instead.

There No Turning Black

Cedwick is a good kid. He’s smart, helps out around the house, does all of his school work, just a damn good kid. Trouble is he is the only one. The only white mage living in a town full of black mages’. His step parents have tried to turn him evil but there is nothing they can do to help. Their black magic spells don’t work on him, unlike all other white mages, so they decided they had to take him in.

Fake Movie Friday: Little Sister

I attempted to write about the Panda naming thing I mentioned last night during the live podcast, but nothing strong came out of the thought process. So here’s what I originally thought about writing based on a dream I had early this week.

Little Sister

We open up on a teenage boy named Tyler lying in bed, played by Max Thieriot, reading a letter. We see it’s from a girl dumping him. His mother knocks on the door and says he can’t lie around forever moping. He goes with his mother and father to a church yard sale.

Fake Movie Friday Submissions: The Clock

Ashley Carter’s weekly reminder that she is in fact a crazy person:

Hi Guys,

So apparently I just write the material movies are based on now. This will one day be made into a coming of age movie. Or maybe an experimental film done entirely from household objects’ points of view. Enjoy!

Fake Movie Friday: Merritt

I just got home from work and a rehearsal dinner. I really have no idea what to write about, so this is all I could come up with. This may or may not be based on the Rudolph Wurlitzer novel Nog. Let’s see if I can finish this before midnight.

Merritt

Dave drives his dirty white van down an abandoned highway in the middle of the desert. He pulls up to a commune on the side of the road. People start to leave their tents and come out to greet the truck. The van has the words, “Say Hi” written on one side and “Fear the Creature Inside” on the other. The leader of the commune, Lockee, comes up and bows to Dave. The rest of the people soon follow. Dave is given a package and then heads back on the road.
