Fake Movie Friday Vol 2: Connect 4

No Tigs on g-chat when I want to start this so I’m going back to some old suggestions. Which means yet another board game named film.

Connect 4

We quickly cut between three different people traveling. Todd is driving, bluetooth headset in his ear yelling about some meeting. Tiffany is driving while crying. Her phone is buzzing next to her with the name Chris, but she is ignoring it. Carlos is on a bike weaving through traffic on a delivery. They all crash as they swerve to avoid a young woman in the street who runs off.

Fake Movie Friday Vol. 2: Tomorrow Didn’t Come

Making this a quick one, just got a bunch of texts from Pete with titles suggestions. I’m not even gonna spell check this one, that’s how fast it will be written. I think I wrote this exact one a few weeks ago…

Tomorrow Didn’t Come

Julia and Jim have been living together for 10 years, and have been dating for 15, but never got married. They’d spoken about it before and answer questions about it, but they just felt the time had come and past and that it wouldn’t be the big celebration that they wanted because of how long it’s been. They have their routine they follow and it’s been getting them by. Julia leaves early in the morning for her job at the hospital, and sometimes sleeps there overnight, while Jim works from home as an architect. But Jim has actually been preparing to finally ask Julia to marry him, all of their parents are ready to meet them at their house in the suburbs that night after work.

Fake Movie Friday Vol 2: No One Believes You

So during the first volume of Fake Movie Friday, Alex wrote one film. Understandably we gave him a hard time about this. After the book was published and we decided to start Vol 2 we joked about him writing one. When it came time to ask the Pig Pile crowd for our first week suggestion Alex announced he would do one too. Tigs gave him a title. He did not write it. Tigs and I have decided to both write a film using the title. The only rule is DO NOT MENTION THIS TO ALEX. Let’s see when he notices.

Fake Movie Friday Vol 2: No One Believes You

A kids movie. AKA not weird. Well kind of weird.

No One Believes You

The year is 3027 and no one believes in Santa anymore. The world is beyond jaded, everyone is a cog in a machine: they go to work in a line, do their job and go home. Most of the world is now drenched in drab colors and people are rarely interacting with people because basically everything is a crime.

Fake Movie Friday Vol 2: Alpha Source

Ok, so I am clearly not back in the groove of what Friday means. Russ SMUGLY told me at 1230am driving me home that he wrote a FMF. I freaked out. Opened gchat from last week and got an old title from Tigs. Sorry for a technically Saturday film.

Fake Movie Friday Vol 2: December Twice

WE’RE BACK! That’s right, it’s been a long time but we all got movie title suggestions last night at our show and it feels great to be doing this again. Since we haven’t done these in a while, I feel like I wrote forever and these are crazy long – nothing has changed. I had two ideas for my title last night, and instead of choosing one or the other, or trying to blend them together somehow I just wrote two. Now, without further ado, welcome back everyone to Fake Movie Friday! 2,185 words ahead of you, you’ve been warned. Enjoy!

December Twice

At 6 am the radio alarm goes off “The skies are clear but bring a jacket with you, it’s a very chilly December 1st”. Jim October lifts his head up slowly, hits the snooze button on the radio and goes back to sleep. At 945 he opens his eyes, sees what time it is, shouts expletives and rushes to get ready. There’s a montage of him showering, et al to that Ryan Adams song “To Be Young” culminating in him being stuck in traffic as we turns down the radio to turn the song off for the audience.

Fake Movie Friday: Hillbilly Preacher

We watched a movie with a hillbilly preacher in it last night, and then Andrew Dunn gave me the suggestion of that as the title for todays FMF.

Hillbilly Preacher

Travis lives in the small, back woods community known as Greenside. There are 40 people who live there with him, all with different trades and skill sets. Travis is the one who keeps everyone believing, the preacher at their local parish which is the tallest building in the area. The whole community loves Travis, they are a self-sustaining people and have been able to make do without electricity, consumerism and government.  Continue reading
