Fake Movie Friday: Marketeers

Originally Tigs gave me some titles that didn’t quite hit me, not for lack of effort on his part. Then he gave me “Black Hole Fun.” I wanted to write it really bad but coudln’t concentrate and just kept singing it STP style. So I went back to the bottomelss well of creativity that is Tigs and came back with this. NO PART OF THIS FILM IS BASED ON FACT, I mean there are dates, but I made up the rest.

Marketeers

Movie opens with Mickey, a WWI vet looking for work in the mid 1920s, California. He has a wife and a new born son at home but is struggling to find much except work as a bouncer. He meets a struggling animator one day who we find is Walt Disney.

Fake Movie Friday: Mark Your Calendars

Happy November everyone. Today marks the countdown to when it is officially annoying to see pictures posted of people in Halloween costumes. The title this week comes from Tigs: The Great and Powerful. I took this one since I thought ‘What Ever Happened to Dexies Midnight Runners’ was too difficult. This title doesn’t scream a genre but in the spirit of the season lets make it a bit murderous black comedy.

Mark Your Calendars

Movie opens with a helicopter shot going through a small industrial town. We scan through the modest neighborhoods and main street  until arriving at a huge mansion on a hill. A single scream is hurt. Close up of phone, close up of ambulance lights, close up of old man on stretcher, close up on hospital chart, close up on will, close up on old man signing it. We then see a reported run from the hospital and cut to the headline on next days paper.

Fake Movie Friday: The Last Time I Talked to Harry

Hey party people! Back to asking Tigs for suggestions and writing this at work because I am super bored. I have an idea for the frame of this film but have no clue where it is actually going. Hopefully it works out.

Fake Movie Friday LIVE: A Bridge Too Gwar

Happy Friday everybody! This is a special edition of FMF because not only did I get the title of the film last night at Pig Pile, I also wrote it LIVE in front of the audience. If you had to see one piece of performance art yesterday you should have been there and not at something Banksy was doing. Thanks to Brian for the title. I’ve made some changes since last night.

Fake Movie Friday: The Beginnings’ End

Just got home from Comic Con. My feet hurt, I’m tired, but duty is duty. So here we go. I hope it makes sense. I hope I get an idea soon. Not yet, here comes one. Nope. Maybe now? Still no. HERE WE GO. I thought of an idea that turned out to be “30 Minutes or Less”. Adam gave me this title.

The Beginnings’ End

The movie opens with a man, Adam, running down the street from the police. One of his hands is in handcuffs. He escapes from the police into a warehouse and catches his breath. He pulls his jacket off and places it over his arm and walks away calmly.

He walks into an apartment building and rides the elevator up. He knocks on a door and it opens into a pot smoke filled apartment. “How’s the movie?” the person asks. Adam looks confused and tells him he needs his help. They get the cuff off and Adam’s friend tells him about a job. Adam is hesitant for he’s already in some trouble. His friend tells him “trouble never ends”.

Fake Movie Friday: Parallel II

Every time I have a Friday off I forget about Fake Movie Friday. Even though my plan when I woke up was to beat Saints Row and then write a film. Now I’m pressed for time AND THAT UNHELPFUL A-HOLE Tigs isn’t currently on Gchat to give me a title. I guess I’ll write the companion film to Parallel. You will not understand this movie without reading Parallel.

Parallel II

The movie opens with the ending of Parallel. Dan is on the roof trying to plead his case to Agent Crisp. Dan tackles him off the building and we see Dan’s smile. The camera pauses and rewinds a bit and we see Crisp wake up in a bed. Next to him is a woman who kisses him and gets up calling him Kyle. Kyle sits up and we see a wedding ring on his finger.

Fake Movie Friday: No One Sleeps in the City

It’s been a long 3 weeks in a row where I haven’t gotten a title from Tigs. Frankly I think he was sad about it. I promised him this week that I would come straight to him for a title and as always he delivers

No One Sleeps in the City

Movie opens with on screen texts recounting the 100th Monkey Phenomenon. How monkeys on one island learned a skill and the same species across the ocean on another island mysteriously learned it. Evolution jumps. We then see a montage of New Yorkers partying all night, working through the night and basically being out 24 hours a day.

Fake Movie Friday: Mr. Garbageman

Happy Friday everyone. Last night was Pig Pile thus the title this week was audience produced. This one comes from my roommate Adam. I haven’t decided what it is about yet. So let’s wing it

Mr. Garbageman

Movie opens as a garbage truck makes its stops early one morning through the city. At one corner as the garbageman is tossing bags into the back he hears a noise. He movies some things around to find a baby, abandoned in the trash. He looks at it inquisitively and calls for the driver. The driver comes around and groans like he doesn’t need this grief. Cut to the cops there with the same blank stare looking down at the child. One cop groans the same groan and picks it up into the car. He scribbles a note onto his pad and places it onto the child. It simple says Garbageman. In the hospital the nurse at the front desk groans and takes the baby. Scribbling only garbageman on the chart. A doctor arrives to check on the baby. He groans and says, “So this is the garbageman child?” The title screen and credits roll over the paperwork being passed on an processed, naming this baby Joe Garbageman.

Fake Movie Friday: Parallel

So in a strange twist this week I thought of a film idea BEFORE a title! Crazy right? Usually this means I have a big idea that doesn’t actually translate to paper that well and by the end of it I am ashamed.

Parallel

Movie starts as an office door flies open as a couple burst through kissing. He gets the blinds as she begins to undress. He picks her up onto the desk. Voice over-“That’s not me.” The camera pulls back outside the building into a window of a neighboring office building as a man sits getting yelled at, “That’s me.”

Fake Movie Friday: Monks on High

Tigs gave me this title last week. It was pretty great but that Arthur Tribb one NEEDED to be written immediately. I’m pretty exhausted waiting for my last meeting to arrive so who knows how this will turn out.
