Fake Movie Friday: Fever Dream Monsters

So I think I did a similar movie two weeks or so ago (and plenty of times before that), but no one read it so whatever. Colm gave me the title:

Fever Dream Monsters

Rachel has just moved into a small, pastoral, midwestern town. Very few of the other towns folk like her, and she’s not incredibly likable anyway. She very standoffish and stands out even more because of her all black, goth appearance. She opened up a tattoo parlor there, Evil Ink, in hopes to freak out some citizens and attract others. Which it does. The small fan base she has are other outcasts from the town, and mostly younger than Rachel. She seems to attract the high school emo kids and those coming back from college. Fake Movie Friday- The Midshipman

Writing this on Thursday because I have zero time tomorrow. The title comes from the mind of the incomparable Michael Stevens. It’s a one of those small British independent films in which the title has very little to do with the film itself. *wow totally forgot to just click publish at some point today.

The Midshipman

The movie begins with a slow empty shot of a swing set in the park. No one is in the shot, and the swing is moving slowly back and forth. Muffled screams are heard in the background.Shot fades back to black.

Fake Movie Friday – Night of the Gargoyles

Colm comes up with another classic title. I’m not sure what he wanted here, but we’re gonna continue the story, something that we’ve all been waiting for. How weird can I make this?

Night of the Gargoyles

Present day New York City, cold, blistering winds, we’re in the year 2013 but it could be 2012 for all we know. After the events or 1996, when the Manhattan Clan of Gargoyles were both outed to the human world and accepted, people have forgotten about them. The world turned on them after the events of September 11th 2001, the Gargoyles were unable to stop the terrorist attack, as it happened during the day time and they were already turned to stone at that point. There are lots of newspaper articles that flash on the screen that show people no longer trust the Gargoyles. So they went into hiding in plain sight and the people of the city, and of the world, forgot about them. Even the other clans around the world went into hiding after what happened. Ex-cop Elisa Maza has been disgraced, shunned and let go from the force with no pension all because of her hopes and beliefs in the creatures, and she believes that we need them now more than ever. Too bad she is homeless and just shouting on the sidewalks, so no one believes her.  Continue reading

Fake Movie Friday- The Treatment

Oh fuck. I got home at 9. Have to work tomorrow until I remembered it was Friday. So lets shit this out so I can go to sleep.

The Treatment

We open on a teen standing on a rooftop in a city. Behind him we see a woman. She is crying and yelling at him- “This won’t solve it! This won’t save me!” He turns and smiles- “It’s the best plan I got, and if it does work, it will be worth it.” He jumps off the building and the camera follows him down, smiling the whole time.

Fake Movie Friday: Bloodied Promises

I had to take a sick day today. I was finally able to stand up without throwing up at around 3 pm, which is also when I finally removed myself from my bed for the time being. I’m gonna try and write this one quick so I can go lay down again. As per usual Colm has bestowed upon me a great title:

Bloodied Promises

Brothers Mike and Jack have always been getting in trouble together. As kids they would play pranks on their fellow students and teachers, family members and friends. It was always the two of them vs the world. There is some scene of them as kids promising to always stick together. Continue reading

Fake Movie Friday: Pill Poppin’ Walkers

I feel like this is a bit too much Resident Evil influenced, but I did get the title from Colm so it makes sense. This weeks tale of deadly pharmaceuticals and the effect they have on children is titled:

Pill Poppin’ Walkers

Mundymeo Corp is a world-wide, multi patent holding, pharmaceutical company who have been designing a new pill for ADD. The results have been spectacular in lab animal tests but they haven’t been able to do human testing… until now. They pay off some school and start to administer evaluations to students, which will always end with them diagnosing the students with a mild to severe form of ADD and telling them about an experimental new drug treatment they could opt into.  Continue reading

Fake Movie Friday: One Step From Oblivion

I have the day off today. The internet and cable are not working. This is awful. So here is a sci-fi film, title courtesy of Brian Fitzpatrick. He also suggested “Dick Jones is Jonesing for a Dickings” but I decided this would be better.

Fake Movie Friday: Stargazer

Too often now a days I have no idea what to write and I just come back to writing the same movie I’ve written dozens of times before. So why should this week be any different?? I’m in some hot water at work right now, I’ll have to make this a quick one. Colm gave me some title suggestions, but I’m ignoring all of them. We also talked about the end of Mass Effect 3 and he mentioned the final scene and this character, so this movie will be titled:

Stargazer

We start in 2005, before the financial crisis. Jeff is the president of some big Wall Street firm that is doing incredible well. There are parties, lots of drugs, and it’s a crazy time. Jeff is going wild, everyone loves him, it’s a great time. Continue reading

Fake Movie Friday: Tampered Expectations

The great John Tiglias gave me this title. So I named the main character after him. It’s INDIE yo!

Tampered Expectations

Our main character John sits on his couch staring at the wall. Pacing back and forth in front of him his a Hannah. She is yelling at him, but we don’t see her face. We only get bits and pieces as the sound is going in and out, but it’s clear she is breaking up with him and moving out. Words like immature and aimless are heard. Sound clears up and she asks “are you even listening?” He only says “I can be better?” She laughs and walks away, as he actually says this as a question.
